WHERE ARE FORMER B.I. PUPILS AND STAFF?

I thought it would be worthwhile including a page where anyone can request the whereabouts/more information about former B.I. pupils and staff.  Below are some initial requests, and if pupils have any further requests, I shall be pleased to include them on this page.

If anyone has any more information about Martin, please let me know at the following email address:-

biwirral@yahoo.co.uk

HETTY ROSENBLOOM, (B.I. TEACHER, 1944 - 1946)

If anyone has any more information about Hetty after she left the B.I. in 1946, please let me know via the above email address.

ALAN KEATING, (B.I. PUPIL IN THE 1960s)

Allan Keating has kindly sent in some information about what he did after he left the B.I., and if anyone remembers Allan, please contact the site via email at:

biwirral@yahoo.co.uk

and I shall ensure that Allan receives all correspondence.   Here is Allan's information:-

"Talking about where we all end up, it occurred to me perhaps a page such as "Where are they now?" would be interesting where people could put in a short resume of what they did after leaving school in terms of careers and places. I often wonder what happened to some of the lads I knew and I am sure there would be some surprises. I know in my own case I could never have dreamed where my career would take me. I smiled when I saw your comment about academic achievements as you must have been talking about my brothers!!

I left school with English and French O levels and started to work on New Brighton fairground. In life's wonderful twists and turns I ended up in IT by 1969 as a result of aptitude tests and went on to hold Senior Project Management roles, but when wanting to live in Pembrokeshire (because I married a Pembrokeshire lass), I decided I needed another career and studied accountancy, eventually qualifying in 1984 and set up my own practice before retiring. I always wonder what the careers master would have said on failing O level maths,  had I said that I wanted careers in IT and Finance!!"
